The Data4Good Analytics Competition challenges undergraduate and master's students to use data, AI and analytics to address a real-world problem. This year's case focuses on making cities safer, using data from Tempe, Arizona.
Teams of three to four students will participate in a series of training webinars and professional development activities before developing and submitting their solution to the case challenge. Participants can build skills in analytics, AI, business problem framing and professional presentation while competing for regional and national prizes.
Regional champions will be invited to present their solutions at The Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business in March 2027. Regional team champions can receive $2,000, while national champions can receive $5,000.
Participants also receive access to training and certifications, including Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals, SAS and DataCamp learning resources.
