Discovering Philanthropy: Fundraising Fundamentals to Grow Your Impact
Hosted by the ASU Foundation’s Launch Studio team (formerly known as the Moonshot Accelerator), this two-part workshop is designed to help ASU faculty better understand philanthropy and how to engage with philanthropic funding in collaboration with the Foundation to advance their work.
Program Overview
The workshop is divided into two sessions:
- Day One, October 1st – Philanthropic Foundations: Introduces the core principles of philanthropy and explores how philanthropy happens at ASU.
- This session includes “Demystifying Development at ASU”, a panel discussion with current ASU Foundation development officers.
- Day Two, October 2nd – Philanthropic Applications: Supports participants in shaping a vision aligned with their mission and explores how philanthropy can serve as a catalyst for their work.
- Participants will walk away with deliverables including a philanthropic vision that can be shared with current and future funders.
Logistics
- Both sessions will be held in-person at the Fulton Center (300 E University Dr, Tempe, AZ 85281) on October 1st and 2nd from 9am-12pm.
- Sessions will take place in the Lincoln Conference Room, located on the 6th floor of the Fulton Center.
- A map and parking directions will be included in the calendar invitation.
- Parking can be validated at the Foundation front desk (6th floor).
- A light breakfast will be served upon arrival.
