Bea Rodriguez-Fransen, Assistant Research Professor, Principled Innovation, Global Futures Laboratory in the Rob Walton College of Global Futures with Valley Leadership on August 26, 2026.
Dr. Bea Rodriguez-Fransen, Assistant Research Professor in Principled Innovation and Senior Global Futures Scholar at Arizona State University's Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory, has been selected for Catalyze Class 6, Valley Leadership's six-month foundational leadership development program. She is one of 107 Arizonans in this year's cohort, which includes emerging and established leaders from business, government, education, health care, nonprofits and community organizations across the state.
The class began its journey at the Catalyze Kickoff, which featured a keynote from ASU President Michael Crow. Over the next six months, participants will explore their individual leadership styles, examine the systems and challenges shaping Arizona, and build relationships across sectors and communities. Graduates can continue their involvement through Valley Leadership's Impact Maker initiative and other community action opportunities.
Says Rodriguez-Fransen: "As someone who moved to Arizona from Illinois and was active in Chicago communities, I'm excited to get to know Arizona's communities more deeply and to connect with community-engaged leaders across the Valley. My work in futures and foresight is about creating space for people to imagine and shape what comes next together, and Catalyze is a great chance to learn from the people already doing that work here."
