The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR) is accepting applications for two postdoctoral fellowship opportunities:
This fellowship focuses on applying behavioral and social sciences research to inform the development and implementation of artificial intelligence in health research policy and administration.
This opportunity supports fellows interested in evaluating the impact of NIH behavioral and social sciences research programs through data-driven analyses.
Appointments are initially for one year and may be renewed annually for up to four years, contingent upon NIH recommendation and the availability of funding.
Fellows are expected to participate either in person or in a hybrid capacity. The fellowship location is Bethesda, Maryland.
Applications received after July 1, 2026 will be reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the 2026 calendar year, with selections made as projects become available.

Eligibility:
- Be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or foreign national.
- Be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
- Have earned a Ph.D. within the past five years in a relevant field listed in the fellowship announcement, or be currently enrolled in graduate school and expected to complete the degree before the appointment begins.
