Discovering Philanthropy: Fundraising Fundamentals to Grow Your Impact
Hosted by the ASU Foundation’s Moonshot Accelerator team, this two-part workshop is designed to help ASU faculty and staff better understand philanthropy and how to engage with philanthropic funding to advance their work.
Program Overview
The workshop is divided into two sessions:
- Day One, March 30th – Philanthropic Foundations: Introduces the core principles of philanthropy and explores how philanthropy happens at ASU.
- This session includes “Demystifying Development at ASU”, a panel discussion with current ASUF development officers.
- Day Two, March 31st – Philanthropic Applications: Supports participants in shaping a vision aligned with their mission and explores how philanthropy can serve as a catalyst for their work.
- Participants will walk away with deliverables including a philanthropic vision and an activity map featuring their current and future activities to meet their vision for the future.
Logistics
- Both sessions will be held in-person at the Fulton Center (300 E University Dr, Tempe, AZ 85281) on March 30th and 31st from 9am-12pm.
- Sessions will take place in the Lincoln Conference Room, located on the 6th floor of the Fulton Center.
- A map and parking directions will be included in the calendar invitation.
- Parking can be validated at the Foundation front desk (6th floor).
- A light breakfast will be served upon arrival.
