Call for Participants: Interview Study on the Future of the Research University

Faculty members (18+) are invited to be considered for a research study exploring perspectives on the future of U.S. research universities. Participants who complete the interview will receive a $10 gift card as a token of appreciation.

This project is based in the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory and is led by Dr. Bea Rodriguez-Fransen and Dr. David Guston.

What participation involves:

  • One 30–45 minute interview on Zoom
  • Participation is voluntary
  • You may skip any question or stop at any time
  • With your permission, the interview may be audio recorded to support accurate transcription and analysis
  • Participants who complete the interview will receive a $10 gift card as a thank-you

Selection note: Up to 8 faculty will be selected. Because the study uses purposive sampling to include a range of faculty perspectives and support depth of insight, not everyone who expresses interest will be selected.

Confidentiality: Audio recordings (if you agree) will be labeled with a study ID (not your name) and stored securely. Interview transcripts will be de-identified for analysis and reporting, and any quotations used in presentations or written products will be reported without names or identifying details. Research records will be stored securely and accessed only by the research team.
