The 2026-2027 Moonshot Cohort applications are now open!
Moonshot Cohort Objective: Position teams of ASU faculty, staff, and their community partners to design, strategize, and lead big ideas that address society’s most pressing challenges and have the potential to secure large-scale philanthropic investment.
Participants in the 2026-2027 ASUF Moonshot Cohort Experience will:
- Develop a foundational understanding of philanthropy–in particular, moonshot philanthropy.
- Develop and apply their skills in “moonshot thinking,” including systems thinking, theory of change, and approaches to scale.
- Produce useful deliverables, including:
- A pitch deck presented to philanthropic professionals in a culminating event.
- Written materials that can be adapted to many philanthropic opportunities.
- Engage in philanthropic “competitive intelligence” to understand and engage with potential funders.
- Build a network of ASU peers.
- Identify relevant community partners.
