Taking place in the fall and spring semesters of the 2026-2027 academic year, the Moonshot Cohort prepares teams of ASU faculty, staff, and their community partners, to design, strategize, and lead big ideas with the potential for large philanthropic investment.
Participants in the 2026-2076 ASUF Moonshot Cohort Experience will:
- Develop a foundational understanding of philanthropy–in particular, moonshot philanthropy.
- Develop and apply their skills in “moonshot thinking,” including systems thinking, theory of change, and approaches to scale.
- Produce useful deliverables, including:
- A pitch deck presented to philanthropic professionals in a culminating event.
- Written materials that can be adapted to many philanthropic opportunities.
- Engage in philanthropic “competitive intelligence” to understand and engage with potential funders.
- Build a network of ASU peers.
- Identify and connect with relevant community partners.
