From Complexity to Clarity: Unlocking Global Climate Policy Intelligence

Over the past year, we’ve moved from building blocks to connected systems – expanding our datasets, linking our tools, and putting them in the hands of a growing community of practitioners, policymakers, and innovators.

Dr. Michal Nachmany Founder & CEO, Climate Policy Radar

Climate Policy Radar (CPR) is pioneering open, AI‑powered tools to make climate policy data accessible, usable, and actionable worldwide. Their mission is to accelerate time‑to‑insight for policymakers, researchers, and civil society by transforming fragmented documents—laws, finance rules, corporate disclosures, and litigation—into structured intelligence.

Climate Policy Radar PhotoIn 2025, CPR expanded its reach by powering the Climate Change Laws of the World database, integrating 15,000+ litigation documents with the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law, and launching the Climate Project Explorer with the world’s four largest multilateral climate funds. CPR also introduced the POWER Library for offshore wind knowledge and served as data partner for the first Global Stocktake at COP29.

To ensure these tools reach decision‑makers, CPR works closely with parliamentary networks such as the Inter‑Parliamentary Union, GLOBE, Climate Parliament, and others. Through training and resource packs, CPR equips legislators worldwide to combat climate change, facilitating multi‑partisan dialogue and actionable recommendations. Founder Michal Nachmany also shared insights on best practices in climate legislation in a podcast with the Inter‑Parliamentary Union.

As CPR expands its global reach, it is prioritizing emerging and middle‑income countries such as India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa, Brazil, and Vietnam. These nations play a critical role in reducing emissions, aligning industrial policy with climate goals, and decarbonizing supply chains. To support this work, CPR is building relationships with local partners and equipping legislators and decision‑makers with data and tools that strengthen climate policymaking.

The impact is tangible: “Our reputation is built on credible, verifiable, and reliable advice. When you use the CPR app, you know that you’re using a reputable resource. That accuracy to us is key.” — Lucy Pearson, Executive Director, Climate Parliament.

Through these initiatives, Climate Policy Radar advances multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Their work exemplifies how open data and AI can empower decision‑makers, strengthen accountability, and accelerate just, equitable climate action.
