Wei discusses heatwave solutions with journalist

Hua Wei, Assistant Professor, School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering was recently interviewed by KJZZ for a piece titled, ASU team uses AI tools in 2 projects to help protect people during extreme heat, broadcast on October 3, 2025.

The interview discussed Professor Wei and his team's developed projects to help protect people during extreme heat. "The Shaded Route Planning project uses generative AI to make predictions about how shadows from buildings and other elements will appear in certain areas over time."
