This free, open-to-all international festival unites learners, educators, artists, researchers, and change-makers across the world to celebrate the International Day of Education (24 January). Between January 21-28, 2026, hundreds of online and onsite events will take place worldwide—each one exploring new ways of learning, teaching, imagining, and transforming our shared future. The Festival highlights the extraordinary diversity of people and places reimagining education for more just, regenerative, and hopeful futures.
This year’s theme—Learning to take care of oneself, others, and the planet—invites us to rethink how education can nurture wellbeing, solidarity, and planetary responsibility in times of profound change.
