Moreno Ramirez nominated for the Golden Ocelot award by the Patagonia Area Resource Alliance

Denise Moreno Ramírez, Assistant Director of The Earth League Secretariat at the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory, was one of ten nominees for the Patagonia Area Resource Alliance Golden Ocelot award. The winners were recognized at the 3rd Annual PARA Gala on November 9, 2025, hosted at the Patagonia Lumber Co.

The Golden Ocelot Award is an honor given out by the Patagonia Area Resource Alliance (PARA) recognizing dedication to protecting the clean air, water, and wildlife that make the Patagonia region so special.

The 2025 Golden Ocelot Award recipients were Aaron Mrotek of The Nature Conservancy’s Patagonia–Sonoita Creek Preserve, Robin Lucky of the Calabasas Alliance, and Louise Misztal of Sky Island Alliance — all recognized for their dedication to protecting the clean air, water, and wildlife that make this region so special.
