Powered by a Public Interest Technology (PIT-UN) grant, Tech for Change: Remix The Future is a four-day spatial storytelling challenge for civic impact. Artists, technologists, students, and community members are invited to design bold, creative responses to real-world issues shaping Mesa’s future and around the world—from food systems to climate justice. Participants will prototype immersive, AI-enhanced, interactive experiences and games that remix Mesa’s Climate Action Plan into civic innovations for public health and sustainability.
ReMix the Future brings together more than 200 participants high school and above to collaborate across four immersive tracks: Game Design in partnership with Endless Games and Learning Lab, Experience Design for MIX’s state- of-the-art Enhanced Immersion Studio, Interactive Design with installations in The Volume, and spatial Startup Design in partnership with the Edson Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute and Mesa Public Schools.
Guided by community challenge briefs and mentors, participants will showcase their work at Public Expo and Awards Showcase, free and open to all, on Sunday October 19th from 4-7pm.
