European Funding Opportunities: Horizon Europe Health Cluster and MSCA Doctoral Networks (Opportunity Kick Off)

Join the Research Engagement Office as they discuss opportunities to partner with European institutions for funding, including the Horizon Europe Health Cluster of 30+ opportunities and the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network training program.

Horizon Europe is the European Union’s flagship research and innovation program running from 2021 to 2027, with a budget of approximately €93.5 billion. It drives scientific excellence and competitive growth by tackling global challenges through collaborative, interdisciplinary projects. We will discuss the Health Cluster of funding opportunities, which supports interdisciplinary research and innovation to improve health outcomes and resilient healthcare systems. US partners must join a European consortium to participate in Horizon funding calls.

The MSCA Doctoral Networks 2025 funding opportunity provides €597.8 million to support over 150 doctoral training programs across all research fields. These networks bring together universities, research institutions, and industry partners to deliver interdisciplinary, cross-sector training. Fellowships of 3 to 36 months include generous allowances and focus on developing transferable skills for innovation and employability. The program also supports Industrial and Joint Doctorates to strengthen international and inter-sectoral collaboration.
