This new professional learning initiative is designed to help today's conservation, sustainability and environmental leaders develop the knowledge and skills needed to address complex global challenges.
Created through the Rob Walton College of Global Futures, the Conservation Futures Academy (CFA) offers innovative learning experiences that connect cutting-edge research with real-world practice. Designed for working professionals across sectors, CFA provides opportunities to build expertise, strengthen leadership capabilities and engage with emerging approaches shaping the future of conservation.
CFA's first course offering showcases this interdisciplinary vision. Indigenous Conservation Collaborations equips professionals to build meaningful, sovereignty-affirming partnerships with Indigenous communities while exploring Indigenous knowledge systems, Tribal sovereignty and collaborative approaches to conservation. The course is led by Indigenous leaders, scholars and practitioners who bring deep expertise and lived experience to the learning journey.
