We’re thrilled to share that Project Cities has been featured in ASU News for our exciting collaboration with the City of Tempe! This partnership has brought together Arizona State University students and city staff to tackle an important environmental challenge—managing and repurposing wastewater sludge in innovative ways.
The article, titled "Sludge solutions: ASU students collaborate with City of Tempe on water challenges", highlights how ASU students, through the Project Cities program, are engaging in real-world problem-solving to explore sustainable solutions for municipal wastewater management. Working closely with Tempe’s Water Utilities Division, students have researched ways to enhance sustainability, reduce waste, and create beneficial byproducts from sludge.
