American Public Media’s Marketplace and Gary Comer Global Agenda present Climate and Sustainability: Moving By Degrees – The Future Energy Abyss

CALENDAR/MEDIA ALERT: Global Institute of Sustainability hosts an intimate conversation between David Brancaccio and John Hofmeister

WHAT: American Public Media’s Marketplace in partnership with Arizona State University’s Global Institute of Sustainability, hosts an evening event bringing one of the world’s foremost experts on energy and climate to the general public. The wide-ranging conversation will cover everything from climate change and energy independence to global energy leadership and the unrest currently remaking the Middle East.

WHY: As the Earth's resources become stretched, storytelling is a vital way to share what is happening around the world and how it affects people, business, politics and daily life. For the last five years, Marketplace has been reporting on sustainability through national programming that also includes Marketplace Morning Report, Marketplace Money, Krista Tippett on Being and American RadioWorks.

WHO: David Brancaccio, senior correspondent, Marketplace’s Economy 4.0, and John Hofmeister, distinguished sustainability scholar, Global Institute of Sustainability and the Julie A. Wrigley Private Sector Executive-in-Residence, School of Sustainability at Arizona State University; Founder/CEO, Citizens for Affordable Energy; and, retired President, Shell Oil Company will hold an intimate conversation.
